Along with over 100 congregations in Middle Tennessee, Blakemore UMC participates in Room in the Inn Winter Shelter program that provides nightly shelter to unhoused individuals during the winter months. At the Campus for Human Development, Blakemore supervises the shelter and feeds 20 men every first Monday from November through March. You can be involved, even if you aren’t a Blakemore member!
One Monday each month, between November and March, we participate in this important work; we provide a hot dinner (usually a taco bar because the men love it!), breakfast, and sack lunches for them to take with them.
